What is a physical therapist? A Physical Therapist is a person trained in the physical and developmental aspects of the human body, with basic science courses such as biology, chemistry, and physics, and then introduce specialized courses such as kinesiology, biomechanics, neuroanatomy, and human growth and development. Physical therapy has traditionally focused on the activity and the motor actions needed to complete that action. Pediatric physical therapists focus on gross-motor activities such as jumping, running, hopping, balance, throwing and catching.
